We don't take religious, self-help, textbooks or Readers Digest books, but should any be in your donations we will re-donate them to the local thrift stores.

Do you take donations of books?

Yes! We accept all book donations,(especially children's books which we give away for free) and anything that we don't feel is a good fit for us will be donated to the local library or the AAUW.

For brand new books it is best to order individual books through bookshop.org. If you're looking for multiple copies of the same book, please call us to place an order. For secondhand books please call us to discuss your needs.

How does ordering from bookshop.org help to support the shop?

Bookshop.org is a wonderful organization that actively supports small independent bookstores by allowing customers to order brand new books to be delivered direct to them whilst passing on the profits to your local bookstore. You can help support us by picking us as your local bookstore here: https://bookshop.org/shop/VintageandModernBooks

Is your shop dog friendly?

Yes! We love to see dogs in store, and are happy to get them a treat or a bowl of water to help them feel comfortable.
